HEIC converter help

Answers to common questions about converting HEIC photos to JPG, PNG, or WebP in your browser.

How many files can I convert at once?

You can select up to 50 HEIC files at once on a desktop computer, or up to 10 on phones and tablets. If you have more files, convert them in separate batches.

Should I choose JPG, PNG, or WebP?

Choose JPG for most photos, especially when you need a widely accepted upload format. Choose PNG for lossless output, screenshots, graphics, or document-like images. Choose WebP for modern web uploads when the destination accepts it.

Are my image files uploaded?

No. The HEIC files you select are converted locally in your browser and are not uploaded to heictoimg.com servers for conversion.

Why did a website reject my converted image?

Some upload forms have rules for file size, pixel dimensions, file naming, or content. heictoimg converts the format, but you still need to check the requirements of the website where you plan to upload the result.

Does heictoimg work on phones?

Yes, it works in modern mobile browsers. If a very large image fails on a phone, try converting fewer files at once or use a desktop browser with more memory.

What if conversion fails?

Confirm the file is a HEIC image, try one file at a time, refresh the page, or use another modern browser. See the troubleshooting page for more detailed recovery steps.
